eriebasin | Add this to the list of beautiful things I’ve lost at auction by incredibly wide margins. Also in this same auction was a Bakalowits & Sohne Miracle Chandelier which I thought I might snatch for a song since it was originally described simply as a “spuntik chandelier” in the auction catalog.  But then the description was amended, and it sold for the full seven grand that it deserved, and not for the two that I bid.
